Me too....... I'm such a slow reader... especially with poetry. I have to read them several times because I miss things...... and with those incredibly intelligent poets I have to go look stuff up on Wikipedia to make sure I'm not missing something else. OMG... This is my first Tuesday night with dVerse Poets and I'm overwhelmed... I've been sitting here for four hours and I'm only up to number 33, you... This will take me all week! But I wanted to write to you about your poem because it just brought an incredibly special memory back to me of a creative writing professor I had in my freshman year.... God she was so wonderful, I loved her. She inspired me..... (but unwittingly... when she consciously tried to inspire me.. that kind of sucked.... Have you ever known someone like that? Their real inside self is so lovely, so engrossing, that by itself it is inspiring?) Anyway she taught me about self-reflection, which I think is what your poem is about. I mean she didn't "teach" me about reflection, that is something we all do naturally, I think. She just just gave it a name for me, and taught me how to utilize it in my creativity. And when I read your poem it made me think of her, how she taught me that reflection, even the kind you are talking about in your poem, are so important to us. What a lovely memory of her. And a lovely poem.... Thank you......Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5271227382470333124.post-70174271910329437572011-09-06T18:15:40.697-05:002011-09-06T18:15:40.697-05:00sometimes our frustrations do us well...i think yo...sometimes our frustrations do us well...i think you pulled this off nicely...all the questions, i think at times we all have them...dig deep...Brian Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00722940075884718007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5271227382470333124.post-54132985484003108922011-09-06T16:30:45.719-05:002011-09-06T16:30:45.719-05:00Strike one perhaps, but I've gotta say (for th...Strike one perhaps, but I've gotta say (for the second time today, actually) that you hit this one out of the park.
