"Deep within herself, the elephant said this name, her name, over and over
again."

pg. 95 The Magician's Elephant by Kate DiCamillo

My thoughts:

Honestly, I've been quite excited about reading this ever since I read this review from Chris over at Stuff As Dreams Are Made On... I'm enjoying reading this to my kids and we're making an effort to get it read before school starts. Very enjoyable!

Great teaser! This book is on my TBR stack somewhere. I should look for it. My teaser is from Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel. Happy reading!

That one's on my TBR list. Here's my teaser:

Also, I was going to tell you: a good fantasy writer you might want to check out is Brandon Sanderson. He teaches creative writing at BYU and has put out several books, not to mention he's been commissioned by Robert Jordan to finish the Wheel of Time series (Jordan recently passed away from some terminal illness). Anyway, fantasy can be tricky because you can so easily run into some smutty stuff, but Sanderson is a good and clean place to start.

I didn't make my rounds this T.T. and I missed another one this last time as the first week of school is so busy. Thanks for coming by and I'll eventually get around to visit each of you and leave a comment on your blogs!

I think they are beautiful birds. *Thanks for your attention.*

She is pure Alice in Wonderland, and her appearance and demeanor are a nicely judged mix of the Red Queen and a flamingo.
