Summer Reading Thing

My friend, Marcia, signed up for this summer reading challenge and so I thought I would as well. I have a ton of books in my t0-be-read list so I'm going to pull from there. I may also switch it up a little as needed, since I start zealously with reading each summer but then it gets too busy sometimes by the end, which I think is alright for this challenge. I hope. Anyway, I love to read so here's my choices for this summer:

  1. PickUp Games by Marcia Mickelson
  2. Lemon Tart by Josi Kilpack
  3. Fool Me Twice by Stephanie Black
  4. Jane and the Unpleasantness at Scargrave Manor: Being the First Jane Austen Mystery by Stephanie Barron
  5. Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen by Syrie James
  6. The Host by Stephenie Meyer
  7. My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Piccoult
I think this will be a good list. Alternates will include but not limited to my choices from my other challenges currently listed on my side bar, from other book groups I'm already in, or books that may come out by the end of the summer that I may get excited about in a spontaneous moment. For now, this is my speculative list for this summer. I can't wait to get reading!

Good luck! I looked at this challenge but I thought it was just for LDS authors, according to the LDS Publisher blog, so I decided not to join. Not that I need new challenges...

Thanks for wishing me luck, Amanda. I probably need it since life can get crazy in the summer.
You're doing great reading challenges and I can understand you not needing anymore new ones.
Perhaps, I've already messed up on this challenge because I thought I just had to choose at least one LDS author to read on my summer list. I decided to choose three. We'll see how it goes. There wasn't an official number either. I just did the same number as Marcia.
Oh well, I wasn't able to officially sign up anyway because Mr. Linky wasn't working and neither did the e-mail address show up when I tried to sign up that way. So, no chance of being in the drawing for the prizes for me, I guess. I'll just have fun seeing if I can get these books read.

I think I have four LDS Authors on my list.

Mr. Linky doesn't seem to be working at all these days. I only wanted to upgrade to the silver membership ($5 per year) but had to go to gold ($10) so I could get the new Linky's for my challenge. Irritating!

Hey, I forgot you had this blog. I haven't checked it in a while. That's a fun list you have. It will be fun to compare once we've both read Lemon Tart. Have fun reading.

You can sign up by sending an email to ldspublisher@hotmail.com with a link to this post. She will add you to the list.

Thanks for joining the Summer Reading Thing. You have a great list.

Just to clarify:
1. Anyone can join—as long as they're willing to read fiction by LDS authors. We had a few non-LDS readers join last year.

2. You can read whatever you want, but only the reviews for books by LDS authors get linked on the site and are eligible for prize entries.

3. Any number of books is okay—as few as 1 and as many as you want. And you can change your list up whenever you want—delete some, add others. Whatever. We want it to be easy and fun.

Oh, and yes, I got your email. You're on the list and eligible for prizes. :)
